Can't think of a title right now

I've been working way too much lately. I miss being home with my husband and our two kitties. I've been working all the overtime I can handle, which some weeks has been more than 10 hours. The money's really nice and there is plenty of work to do. I hate feeling so behind in my work so that helps me handle a lot of overtime sometimes.

Steve and I are trying to have a baby but I've realized that if I get pregnant in August we will have our baby in May, and that's just a bad month for my family. First you have my birthday on the 5th, my step-son's birthday on the 9th, Mother's Day, my brother, Dustin' birthday on the 18th, his son Jaxon's on the 21st, my sister-in-law Carrie's on the 24th. Then poor Mindi (Dustin's wife) has her mom's birthday on the 11th. May is too full, so if I'm not pregnant by the end of July, hopefully I won't get pregnant until September. I realized that if I hadn't miscarried I would be about 6 months pregnant right now. There are 3 girls from my work that are all pregnant and due around the time I was. Sometimes it's sad to see these girls and their expanding bellies and remember that it could have been me. Most of the time I am just really happy for them and excited to hear about their pregnancies.

I have been so tired lately, I'm not sure my CPAP has been working that well. I have my routine exam coming up and I may mention to my doctor about that. I also think I may have diabetes, like my dad. I was diagnosed with pre-metabolic syndrome, which is basically pre-diabetes. I really need to get in shape, and eat healthier so I can lose some weight. It will make it easier on my body, when I get pregnant, to lose a lot of weight.

Busy day

Yesterday was a busy and tiring day. We were at my parent's house, after spending the night. Steve went to fix Derek and Ginny's (my brother and sister-in-law) car. Derek thought that the car's starter may have died, but he wasn't sure. While Steve and Derek were off playing with the car I was home with Missee, Violet (my sister and her daughter) and the two dogs.

Steve ended up finding out that Derek's car only had dirty battery terminals (I think that's what he said, but I know nothing about cars so I'm not sure) and one of the spark plugs was undone. Steve cleaned up the battery and fixed the spark plugs and now Derek's car works better than it did before. Derek was so thankful that he didn't have to buy a new starter for his car he took Steve and I to Applebee's for lunch. Missee and Violet came with too. It was a lot of fun, even though Seamus and Russell (Derek and Ginny's sons) weren't very happy about being there. Russell wanted to go to a restaurant that had a playground. They were a little fussy, Violet was a little fussy too. Then we went back to my parent's house and since I didn't sleep that well the night before I was sleepy and took a nap. Steve took Missee's car to get an oil change while I was napping.

My mom works for NAMI ( and had a training class she was teaching this weekend at UNI (University Neuropsychiatric Institute) and they had reserved a hotel room for her for the weekend. After one night there she decided she didn't want to stay since she slept really badly so she offered the room to us. A free hotel room for the night and a free contintental breakfst? We of course took her up on the offer. We met her at the hotel so we could get the room key and the parking pass. After we had recieved the pass and room key we walked my mom to her car and she said something so funny to us that also made me blush. She said "remember, I'm expecting grandkids." She is so funny! I love my mom!

We are now back home with our two kitties (who missed us greatly, who else can pet them if we're gone?) and our piles of laundry, dirty dishes and other fun stuff that needs to be cleaned. I really need a maid, where can I find one who will work for free?

A little bit about me......

Since this is my first post I thought I would introduce myself. I am Raegan, wife to Steven, step-mother to Hunter (5 years old),

and owner to Splenda (pure white cat) and Sweet Pea (Russian Blue cat).

My husband and I currently live in Bountiful Utah and are planning to move to Ogden in October to be closer to his son. I work in South Jordan for a health insurance company. The commute is not going to be fun this October when I have a drive of over an hour. Taking public transit is going to make it even worse, it'll take closer to two hours.
Steve and I have no children of our own, and not for a lack of trying either. I used to hear people say they "suffered" a miscarriage, but I didn't know it was literal. Steve and I found out I was pregnant the Thursday that they had the viewing for President Hinckley (Prophet of the LDS church Then when I was about 11 weeks pregnant I woke up bleeding really badly so I went to the ER.
At the ER I continued to bleed and then I found out what suffered a miscarriage really means. It was one of the hardest things I have ever gone through, and I would never wish it on anyone, even my worst enemy. I felt like I had done something wrong, or that there was some problem with my body that would make having a baby almost impossible. Those two fears were put to rest pretty quickly when my OB/GYN said there was nothing wrong with my body to cause the miscarriage and then when my father-in-law gave me a blessing he said that there was nothing that I had done wrong to cause the miscarriage.
So....Steve and I are continuing to try and hopefully have baby news soon.
Feel free to ask me almost anything you want. If you want to know more about my religion (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) please visit
