Steve has been bugging me lately. He's bugging me about not posting on my blog for so long! I have meant to, but things just have gotten so busy lately!
Hunter just told Steve on Wednesday (March 2nd) that his mom (Brenda, Steve's ex-wife) is pregnant with a baby girl and due in June! I was a bit surprised that we are just finding out about it now. She is over halfway through her pregnancy before we find out! It's cool for Hunter though, to finally get a little sister. Steve and I haven't given him one of those yet, but hopefully we can soon.

Steve's computer has been dying a slow, painful death recently. When he would turn it on it would make a chugging sound that made me worried that someone had placed a bomb in it that was getting ready to go off. His computer is my old computer that I bought before Steve and I met. I think I got it around 2004 or 2005. It has Windows XP operating system. For the past few weeks, Steve would be on the computer when it would just shut off on him and restart. A few times it wouldn't restart but just shut down completely. I was getting tired of hearing him complain about his bad computer......so I bought him a new one! He now has a Sony VAIO laptop with over 500GB of memory! At the same time as getting his laptop (a surprise to Steve), I got myself a MacBook Pro. This is my first Mac, and so far I don't notice a difference, except in how to find programs on the computer. Hopefully I'll learn to like it more than a PC, so far...I;m not too impressed - except I didn't have to waste more money on an anti-virus system.

I also bought us a 37 inch LCD TV and BluRay player. We only have the old TVs that you could buy before the new flat screens came out. We took the OLD Magnavox TV out of our bedroom and switched it with the newer TV from Hunter's bedroom. The TV from the living room went into Hunter's room and the new TV went in the living room. It's so nice having such a nice tv! Steve even had the company that handles the Satellite Systems in our apartment complex come and install an HD DR receiver so we can now see TV shows in HD! In addition to all that, I also got us a Wii! Now we actually have a gaming system! Until this past Christmas when Santa Claus brought Hunter a Nintendo DSLite, the only "gaming" system we had (not counting computers) was Hunter's VSmile. Now I feel more advanced - technology wise.

Hopefully I can keep up more on writing on my blog. It's just hard to find time to between work, home and my Cityville and Fronteirville families ;)

I am such a horrible blogger!

I haven't posted anything for so long, I feel horrible. I've had a lot to write about but I would forget when I got home from work or got onto my computer.

We had Hunter for a four-week period starting on July 16th. We picked him up that morning and the drive to Driggs, Idaho to stay with Steve's sister - Carrie, and her family for the night. My mother-in-law and father-in-law came up shortly after we got there and the my sister-in-law Lisa and her husband Cody got there a few hours later. I always have so much fun going to their house to visit. Because of the full house (and only one guest room which my mother-in-law and father-in-law slept in) we slept in the unfinished basement on the floor. Luckily my parents gave Steve and I air mattresses for Christmas so we didn't have to sleep on the hard cement floor.

The next day we went to Coulter Bay campgrounds in the Grand Teton National Park. Dale, Barbara (Steve's parents), Steve, Hunter and I got a two room cabin to stay in. Lisa and Cody, Brad and Camille, and Carrie and her boys (Daniel, William and James) all got their own tent cabins. Every night we sat around the campfire and had dinner and dessert and then would go to bed. One day we went to a Native American Museum at Coulter Bay and they have all these old items from the Native Americans who previoulsy lived in the area. They had clothing (the baby moccassins were adorable), weapons, jewelry. They also had a Native American artist there selling items. It was a Lokotan woman from South Dakota who brought her father's painting (beautiful, but I couldn't part with the money to buy one since they were all over $100) and handmade jewelry. There was one item that caught my eye. I have a thing for dragonflies - not totally sure what started it but I love them, I also love the color purple. Can you see where I'm going? She had made a beautiful purple beaded necklace with a dragonfly on it. I had to buy it and it was only $20!

We had a lot of fun and didn't want to leave when we did, but I had to return to work on Tuesday, so we packed up and left on Monday afternoon. Hopefully next year we can stay as long as everyone else did.

Wondering how you can have eight month old twin boys camping? Bring a prison a makeshift playpen for them to play in. My mother-in-law thought of this since a normal playpen would be too small.

What a night!

I went out to dinner tonight with my best friend, Andrea. We went to the Cheesecake Factory (it was awesome). On the way out we both needed to stop at the restroom. I held our take home food while Andrea went to the bathroom and then she held them while I went. Right as I'm about to wipe the lady in the stall next to me starts barfing!!! I have a weak stomach and I had a difficult time not barfing too. I couldn't get out of that bathroom fast enough.

Since Andrea and I had gone out Steve decided to stay overnight at his parent's house (he was up in Ogden picking up Hunter for our weekend). After dinner I decided that we shouldn't see a movie tonight like we had planned. Andrea has to work tomorrow morning at 5:30 and we were at dinner later than I expected. I got home a little after 8 and decided that I didn't want to spend the night alone so I called up my sister and invited her over. Within a 90 minutes Missee and Violet were at my house to hang out with me. We started out by watching "17 Again" (Missee actually said Zac Efron was hot!!!!) and now we're watching "Hush" - 2 movies we watched last time she spent the night! Boy we are predictable but at least we're having fun.

Weekend....is it here yet?

Steve gets to come home for the weekend on Thursday and doesn't have to go back until Sunday night. He may possibly be discharged next weekend or the weekend after. I'm really excited for him to be home for good, but I can patiently wait for the next couple of weeks to come.
Last weekend we got to spend time with Hunter. We took him to my nephew's, Russell, birthday party at Jungle Jim's Playland. It was a lot of fun and tiring at the same time. My niece, Violet, fell asleep on one of the rides, it was adorable!
I am trying to take some time off next week so I don't have to be to work on the one year anniversary of my miscarriage. I'm afraid that I'll be too emotional to work. I made an journal right after it happened so that I would have the entire experience down on paper (the reasoning was that if it was on the paper it wouldn't be inside me anymore and I could heal). I still remember certain things vividly. The worst was that after I realized that I was losing the baby I tried to call my mom. I figure that since I had stopped crying I would be able to tell her what was going on. Fat chance. I told her and started sobbing so I had to get off the phone.
I actually could have died if I hadn't gone to the ER. I was losing so much blood that I had to have a D&C. The OB/GYN said that my body was trying to "get rid" of everything and there was something that was not being "flushed out" so I would have bled to death. I almost had to have a blood transfusion. Steve sat there thinking that he was watching me die. Because of the large amount of blood that I lost I was VERY weak and it took SOOOO much energy to get up and walk the 25 feet to the bathroom.
Sorry if this was too graphic for some, but it is a little therapeutic to write this kind of stuff down.

The weekend is FINALLY here

Steve gets to come home for an overnight visit tomorrow! I am so excited, I just wish that he was coming home for good, but I know that he's not ready t come home yet. Soon, but not yet.

I had dinner at Roosters with Brad, Camille, Barbara, Carrie, Tim and Daniel. It was really nice and I had a lot of fun with them. I just wish Steve could have been there. Daniel is so cute, he kept asking for a cheeseburger and then when he finally got it he ate the pickles and a few fries. He's over 2 years old, but he looks and talks like he's 3 years old.

Our Christmas tree is still up and I'm thinking Steve and I will take it down on Sunday. I wanted to keep it up until Steve came home and we could have Christmas with Hunter but I think it's time for it to come down. I'll miss the tree but it's time.
